Bizity Launches Platform Built on a Vision Nearly Two Decades in the Making
Bizity announced the launch of a platform designed to help individuals, professionals, creators, entrepreneurs, organizations, and businesses build a stronger online presence, create meaningful connections, and become easier to discover, understand, and connect with online. The launch marks the realization of a vision first developed nearly two decades ago by founder Dennis Altshuler.
PHOENIX, Arizona — The modern internet gives people more ways than ever to share who they are, what they do, and what they create. Yet that information is often spread across disconnected platforms, profiles, and communities, making it harder to build trust, communicate value, and create meaningful connections.
Bizity was created to help address that challenge.
Today, Bizity announced the launch of a platform designed to help individuals, professionals, creators, entrepreneurs, freelancers, organizations, nonprofits, and businesses build a stronger online presence and create meaningful connections.
The idea behind Bizity began taking shape in the early 2000s as founder Dennis Altshuler watched the internet evolve from a collection of websites into an increasingly fragmented landscape of platforms, profiles, and online communities.
Altshuler began building online in 1996 during the early days of the web. In December 2006, he acquired the Bizity.com and Biziti.com domains as part of a long-term vision focused on helping people and organizations better represent themselves online.
Work on the project continued through multiple phases of planning, design, prototyping, and development. Early databases were created shortly after the domains were acquired, and years of whiteboard sessions, workflow design, branding exploration, and platform planning helped shape the foundation of what would eventually become Bizity. As development progressed, working systems, databases, and administrative tools were built, tested, and refined through multiple iterations.
Progress was periodically slowed by the economic challenges that followed the 2008 financial crisis, rapidly changing technology, and significant personal health challenges faced by Altshuler. Despite those setbacks, development continued through ongoing platform experimentation, community-building efforts, and refinement of the original vision.
By 2015, portions of the platform were already online, reflecting years of development, experimentation, and technical groundwork. Over time, the project evolved alongside major shifts in the internet, including social media, mobile technology, cloud services, and artificial intelligence.
While the tools and technologies changed, the core mission remained consistent: helping people, professionals, creators, organizations, and businesses become easier to discover, easier to understand, and easier to connect with online.
"After nearly three decades building on the internet, one thing became increasingly clear: people are easier to reach than ever, but harder to truly understand, trust, and do business with," said Dennis Altshuler, Founder of Bizity.
"Profiles are scattered. Signals are diluted. Discovery is often driven by noise instead of substance. Bizity was built to help solve that problem by giving people and businesses a clearer way to present who they are, what they do, and how they create value."
Bizity provides a place where individuals and organizations can build a public presence, showcase their work, share updates, highlight projects, promote services, participate in communities, and build meaningful connections while expanding their reach.
Whether someone is building a creative portfolio, growing a business, developing a professional reputation, supporting a cause, or launching a new venture, Bizity is designed to make those efforts easier to share, explore, and discover.
Current platform features include public profiles, content publishing, community participation, business tools, and initiatives such as First Friday, a recurring community showcase that helps creators, makers, businesses, and professionals gain additional visibility.
"Technology should make it easier to understand people, not harder," Altshuler said. "If we can help people present themselves more clearly, discover one another more easily, and create opportunities that otherwise might never have existed, then we're moving in the right direction."
The mission remains simple:
Visibility. Connection. Opportunity.
By helping people present themselves more clearly online, Bizity aims to make it easier to build relationships, expand reach, and unlock new possibilities for growth, collaboration, and discovery.
