Your Activity Powers Personalization — Not a Product
Bizity uses what you do on the platform — your searches, clicks, follows, and the hashtags you use — to make your experience smarter. That means better onboarding, more relevant recommendations, and discovery pages that match what you actually care about.
What your activity is used for: recommending people to follow, posts to read, contests and events to explore, improving search quality, powering hashtag discovery hubs, detecting platform abuse, and building aggregate staff dashboards that show counts and patterns, not individuals.
What your activity is NEVER used for:
- Sold to third parties — not individually, not as a commercial product
- Combined with outside data brokers or advertising networks
- Retargeting ads off the platform (no Facebook audiences, no Google segments)
- Training third-party AI models on your raw activity
- Discriminatory pricing or feature access based on your behavior
- Reading the private content of your direct messages
You can turn it off. A single toggle in your account settings disables Intelligence personalization entirely. Bizity still works — you just see generic discovery instead of tailored suggestions. You can also export, delete, or close out your activity data at any time by contacting support.
Retention: individual activity records are kept for up to 90 days and then aggregated into anonymized rollups. Full details are in our Intelligence & Personalization Policy (legal/privacy/intelligence-and-personalization-2026-04-15.md, revision 1.2 of August 5, 2026).
The Business Directory Is Separate From You
Bizity also publishes a free local business directory. Some listings are created by the business; others we compile from public sources, such as a business's own website, its public social pages, and public records. It exists so the platform is useful in a given town on day one.
- It is public commercial information about businesses (name, category, commercial address, business phone, website), not personal information about what you do on Bizity.
- It is never merged into your personalization profile. Nothing in the directory is treated as something you did, said, searched for, or are interested in.
- It is never used to target you, on Bizity or anywhere else, and it is never sold, licensed, or transferred to anyone in any form.
- If a listing is about your business, every listing carries its own correction and removal controls. They are free, and they do not require an account.
The directory has its own policy, written for business owners rather than for platform users: our Business Directory Data Policy (legal/privacy/business-directory-data-2026-08-05.md).
Behavioral Tracking & Data Ownership
By creating an account or using the Bizity platform, you grant Bizity the right to collect, store, process, and use behavioral data about your platform usage. This includes:
- IP addresses, device fingerprints (User-Agent, screen size), and browser metadata
- Page views, click events, search queries, and time-on-page
- Contest entries, votes, content engagement, and referral activity
- QR code scans and PWA install events
- AI assistant usage patterns and feature adoption
- Aggregated patterns derived across many users (trending content, conversion rates, regional engagement, etc.)
What we own: Bizity owns the rights to all behavioral telemetry and aggregated pattern data generated through use of the platform. This data is used to operate and improve the platform, produce analytics for you (e.g., your QR scan dashboard), train AI features, and may be used for research, market intelligence, and commercial purposes. Your account data (name, email, profile fields) remains owned by you.
What we will never do: Bizity will never sell personally identifiable information (PII) — your name, username, email, phone number, address, or any other distinctively identifying information will never be transferred to a third party in association with behavioral data.
Anonymization protocol: If Bizity ever decides to sell or license aggregated behavioral data to a third party, the data is processed through a documented anonymization protocol first. PII columns are stripped, user IDs are remapped to non-sequential anonymous identifiers (with the remapping table held only by Bizity), and low-population segments are aggregated upward to prevent re-identification. The full protocol is documented in our internal legal records and is available on request.
What this section does not cover: everything above is about data generated by people using the platform. Business directory listings are not part of it and are never included in any dataset sale, license, or transfer, in any form. See the business directory section above and our Data Ownership & Tracking Policy (legal/privacy/data-ownership-and-tracking-2026-08-05.md).

Bizity Terms of Service & Legal Agreement
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Effective September 1, 2024.
Thank you for using and/or joining Bizity! Your privacy and your ability to easily understand our policies is extremely important to us.
First and foremost is that the goal of Bizity is to connect businesses and individuals to help facilitate connections, commerce, and collaboration. As part of that endeavor, we will always be open and honest about what information we are collecting and how we are using it. We not only encourage our users to give us feedback, we sincerely appreciate it because this is your community too!
Because Bizity is in its early stages, you should expect these terms to evolve, and expand, as time goes on. We will notify members via their profile contact email whenever the TOS (Terms of Service) are updated.
All visitors/non-members are required to adhere to these terms of service. By using this site, you must agree to the terms of service.
Every Bizity account is required to provide us with a current email address and to update that email address if you stop using it, or lose access to the one provided to us. We will use that email address to send you updates about the platform, the terms of service, password recovery, and to eventually send you both general and targeted offers based on choices you make in your account settings.
We will not share that private email address with anyone outside of our organization except when we believe it's required by law or to help protect the rights and safety of you, us or others. Anyone attempting to gather/use any information designated for internal use only will be in violation of our terms of service and possibly will be subject to both civil and criminal prosecution in a jurisdiction of our choosing. We reserve the right to block access to features, disable accounts, contact law enforcement, or utilize arbitration or traditional courts depending on the severity of the violation and the potential costs involved. Furthermore, scraping or harvesting any data from public profiles is forbidden and a violation that may result in legal action against you.
You may use a public profile to facilitate a business contact, but only in the manner described in these terms. Please read the full terms of service for exact dos and don'ts regarding contacting Bizity members.

1. Your Profile Data & How it is Used
We require you to maintain both private (internal and legal/law enforcement use only) and public information. Any part of that information may be duplicated in both the public and private portions of your Bizity profile, but that is up to you to decide what you want to share within your public profile. For example, you can have one email address to show in your public profile and another that only we use to send you updates, newsletters, offers, sponsored content, and to recover your account access if you loose, or wish to reset your password. You can also choose to not show any email address in your public profile and only allow contacts through your Bizity account. The same goes with all of your public profile information like phone number, website address, etc. You decide what the general public and other members can see.
You can easily update your choices by Editing your Profile Settings under the Members Menu.
2. Cookies and Behavior Tracking
Bizity uses cookies, sessions, pixels, records your IP address, and other methods to track your behavior both on the site and in our emails. Furthermore, we will keep that data indefinitely to allow us to build an understanding of your interests, behavior patterns, and engagement in both the platform and offers provided in any manner. Our goal is to provide you with offers and opportunities that are of interest to you, so tracking of your interactions are essential to doing that. We will not be giving away or selling that information to outside/3rd parties with the exception of site analytics used by companies like Google described below.
We will allow advertisers or other members to target certain specific demographics through ads or sponsored content shown on pages, within emails, or in any other method we incorporate to provide ads, offers, and sponsored content. Again, that information will be allowed to be used through us, but not given away or sold outside of our system.
You should also be aware that outside advertisers like Google already track your behavior across the Internet and serve you ads on websites based on previous searches, page visits, and purchases. We have no control over that and you may see targeted ads on a limited number of pages on our site or in emails resulting from our running of ads from providers like them. Furthermore, you should expect that they will gather additional data from our site analytics to potentially target your interests even further.
Basically you should assume that your behavior/interests will be used to provide you with relevant ads, offers, and sponsored content, but we will not be selling/giving away your specific information like your email address, phone number. Again, any information shown in the public portion of your profile should be expected to be seen and used on an individual basis by someone wishing to do business with you in some form. They are allowed to contact you on an individual basis by using the information you choose to show publicly, but not gather/scrape your data for use in an outside campaign.
3. Community Standards
Bizity requires all visitors and members to adhere to our terms of service. You may not do anything:
- That violates our terms of service.
- That is fraudulent, misleading, or a misrepresentation.
- That is considered bait and switch.
- That we or the Bizity community deems unethical.
- That infringes on an applicable copyright, trademark, or trade name.
- That infringes or violates someone else's intellectual property rights.
- That is an attempt to register someone else's brand name, trademark, reserved name or derivative, offensive language, and generic names like a city, a category, or other overly broad name.
- That intentionally hurts the reputation of another member unfairly.
- That provides a review of another member, individual, or business without having ever done business or interacted with that member as described in the review.
- That makes false or misleading statements about members offers or services.
- That is discriminatory or racist in any manner.
- That is considered hateful or hate speech.
- That violates someone else's privacy rights.
- That violates someone else's intellectual property rights.
- That promotes or engages in any form of bullying or harassment.
- That infringes or violates someone else's rights in some other fashion.
- That does or attempts to disable, over-burden our system in any manner.
- That does or attempts to impair or corrupt any of our member profiles, site functionality, services, emails, newsletters, or other systems we utilize.
- That does or attempts to send, upload, or distribute malicious code, malware, spyware in any form or manner.
- That attempts to gather information or gain access to data, services, system, or member data that you do not have access to.
- That utilizes automated means to gather, connect to, or interact with our platform without express prior written authorization from us.
We reserve the right to remove anything you do, register, share, or post in violation of these provisions. We may also take action against your account, for the reasons described throughout the terms of service. We may also suspend or disable your account for any reason we feel violates the spirit of these terms of service or community standards, even those not explicitly spelled out within the terms of service.
As a Bizity member, the community relies on you to participate in it. If you see anything that you believe violates our terms of service, your rights, intellectual property rights, the spirit of the Bizity terms of service or community standards, we encourage you to report it to us and to post in the members forums in the appropriate area. (Please Note: at the time of drafting these terms and conditions, the members forums are not yet live, but will be coming online in the near future as we roll out additional features. In addition, we make no time guarantees on reviewing reports of violations or other concerning issues or behavior.)
4. Permissions
We require permission from you in order for you to utilize our services, use our website, register and use an account, receive our emails & newsletters, or to participate in any offer or secondary service we or an authorized affiliate or vendor provide.
You grant us permission to use any content you upload, share, or create through any of Bizity's primary or secondary systems, business offerings, in the manner spelled out in the terms of service.
Private information stays private, but can be used internally for any purpose within the spirit of the terms of service.
Public information shared within your profile, on public forums, or shared with other Bizity members through any means can be used in any manner spelled out within the terms of service, or in the spirit of the terms of service. You grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content (consistent with your public and private account settings).
Any information/content you post within your profile and that adheres to the community guidelines remains your intellectual property and you retain full rights to it. However, you agree to grant Bizity full rights to use or display that information in the manner it was added to the site indefinitely along with any type of statistical or data collecting use.
Anything you use that is the property of an outside person, entity, or Bizity, remains the property of the respective owner.
You retain the right to remove your profile at any time, by closing your account. All information you provided us in your account settings will be removed and your public profile will be deleted.
Due to data backups, some information may be stored internally (not publicly viewable) for an extended period of time beyond the closing of your account though.
Public posts in forums, reviews of products, reviews of services, reviews of other members, or content shared with other members or anywhere in public spaces, may, or may not, be deleted at our discretion though.
You grant us permission to use your public information including your profile name, profile picture, and all public profile information including your business offers, business interests, across any of our primary or secondary systems, websites, newsletters, emails, push notifications, etc. for informational, functional, or promotion purposes without any compensation to you. That does not exclude you from participating in specific written arrangements with us that we may offer where you can be compensated in some form if so designated by a separate written agreement.
Content you add to a business directory listing you have claimed is covered by section 8 rather than by this section, because a listing is a public page about a business rather than a page about you.
You must meet the age requirements described in the "Age Requirements" section below to create and use a Bizity account.
Software and Platform Updates
By using the Bizity platform and related downloads, you grant us permission to install or download updates, upgrades, and add additional features as we continue to develop and improve the platform.

By creating an account, you confirm that you meet the minimum age requirement of 16 years. By accessing financial features, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. Providing a false date of birth is a violation of these Terms of Service and may result in account termination.
5. Bizity's Ownership of our Intellectual Property
Any images, content, software, website front-end or back-end code, newsletter content or functionality, or any other work created by Bizity or our partners for Bizity remains the intellectual property of Bizity and we retain full rights to it and its usage. You may not decompile our code, use our logo, copyrighted material, name, trademarks (or any similar marks) unless we grant you explicit permission to do so in writing. Anything we use that is open source already, may be used under the guidelines of that original open source license, but not our derivative work. We reserve the right to exercise content moderation at our sole discretion to remove any content that we deem inappropriate or that we believe violates our terms of service in practice or in spirit. We may do this either directly or through designated proxies in any of our systems.
6. Liability Limits
We take security very seriously and make reasonable efforts to protect you, your experience on the platform, and your data within our means, but you should be aware that there is always a risk associated with every Internet website, and Bizity is no exception. Our products and services are provided "as is", and we make no guarantees that our servers will always be up, secure, without errors, flaws, slow-downs in page or service delivery, that offers provided by members or affiliates are legal, legitimate, or enforceable.
WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
While we make attempts to prevent users from using/registering offensive, obscene, and unlawful account names, we can not guarantee that users will not find a way around those measures. In addition, we can not be responsible for actions committed by individuals or businesses that are considered obscene, offensive, or unlawful. Furthermore, language differences leave open the possibility that a word or phrase that is perfectly acceptable in one country or region, may not be in another.
Bizity is not responsible/liable for any lost information, content, data, missed deals/offers, lowered/lost profits, costs, lost revenue, damages (punitive or incidental) through the use of our service, accepting offers or using services through any manner associated with Bizity, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability (aggregate) arising out of these terms of service or Bizity products shall not exceed the total of $50 or the amount you have paid us within the last twelve months.
7. Referral Fee Agreement Clause
- Definition of Referral Fee
A referral fee is a monetary compensation paid to a member (the "Referrer") for successfully referring new customers or clients to Bizity (the "Company"). The referral fee is typically a percentage of the revenue generated from the referred customer or a fixed amount agreed upon in advance.
- Eligibility for Referral Fees
To be eligible for referral fees, the Referrer must be a registered member of Bizity and must comply with all terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. Referral fees will only be paid for new customers who have not previously engaged with the Company, unless specifically spelled out by Bizity on an individual item or purchase.
- Payment Frequency
Referral fees will be calculated and paid on a monthly basis, usually within 30 days after the close of each calendar month, for all qualifying subscriptions or one-time purchases completed during that period. Bizity reserves the right to withhold payment or change the payment frequency at its discretion without prior notice to the Referrer. Payment withholding may occur if the Referrer is found to be in violation of any terms of service or community standards including, but not limited to, fraud, bribery, manipulation of the system, illegal activity, at the request of law enforcement, or via a legal document or subpoena, etc..
- Payment Amounts
The standard referral fee is 10% of the revenue generated from the referred customer for the first 12 months of their engagement with Bizity. The Company reserves the right to modify the referral fee percentage or structure at its discretion, with prior notice to the Referrer.
- Tax Reporting
All referral fees are considered taxable income. If total payments to a member equal or exceed $600 in a calendar year, the Company will issue IRS Form 1099-NEC. Members are responsible for reporting all referral income to federal and state tax authorities, regardless of whether a 1099-NEC is issued.
- W-9 Requirement
Prior to receiving any referral fee payments, members must complete and submit IRS Form W-9, providing a valid Social Security Number (SSN) or Employer Identification Number (EIN). Payments will not be released until a completed W-9 is received.
- Verification
The Company may use the IRS TIN Matching Program to verify SSNs/EINs provided. If a member provides false or invalid information, the Company reserves the right to withhold payments completely, and may be required to apply backup withholding at the rate of 24% as mandated by the IRS.

8. Business Directory Listings and Claimed Listings
8.1 What a business directory listing is
Bizity publishes a free local business directory. A business directory listing is a page about a business: its name, what it does, roughly where it is, and how to reach it. Some listings are created by the business itself. Others Bizity compiles from public sources so the directory is actually useful in a given town.
A business directory listing is not the same thing as a marketplace listing. A marketplace listing is a specific product or service offered for sale through the Bizity Marketplace, and it is governed by the separate Marketplace Seller Terms. Rules written for marketplace listings do not apply to your business directory listing. In particular, the rule that active marketplace listings are deactivated when a seller closes their account applies only to products for sale. Closing a Bizity account does not by itself remove a business directory listing, and removing a business directory listing does not close your account. If you want your directory listing taken down, use the removal control described in 8.2.
8.2 You do not need an account to correct or remove a listing
Every business directory listing carries a control to suggest a correction and a control to request removal. Both are free. Neither requires a Bizity account, and neither requires you to agree to these Terms. If all you want is to fix a detail or have a listing taken down, you can do that as a visitor, and nothing on this page applies to you for doing it.
These Terms apply to you if you create an account, or if you claim a listing and take control of it. Our Business Directory Data Policy explains, separately and in plain language, what we publish, where it comes from, what we deliberately do not publish, how long we keep things, and how correction and removal work.
8.3 Content you add to a listing you have claimed
Section 4 covers content in your own profile. This section covers content you add to a business directory listing after you claim it, because a listing is a public page about a business rather than a page about you.
When you add content to a claimed listing, including a logo, photographs, descriptions, hours, menus, service lists, pricing information, or any other material, you grant Bizity a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for display, publish, publicly display, and distribute that content for the purpose of operating, displaying, and promoting the directory and the listing itself. That includes showing it on the listing page, in search and discovery pages, and in Bizity communications and newsletters that feature directory content.
You keep ownership of everything you upload. This license exists so we can display it; it does not transfer it to us, and it does not let us sell it. The license ends when the content is removed from the listing, except that copies may remain for a reasonable period in routine backups, in caches, and in third-party search engine indexes that we do not control.
You represent and warrant that, for every item you add, you either own it or you have permission from the owner to give us this license. That includes photographs taken by someone else, logos, trademarks, fonts, and anything licensed to you on terms that limit sublicensing. If you are not sure whether you have the right to publish something, do not upload it.
8.4 What you are telling us when you claim a listing
When you claim a business directory listing, you represent and warrant that:
- You are the owner of the business, or you are authorized by the owner to act for it;
- You have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of that business;
- Everything you submit in support of the claim, including verification documents, domain control, and contact details, is true and belongs to the business you are claiming;
- You are not claiming the listing on behalf of a competitor, and not in order to suppress, redirect, disparage, or take traffic away from a business that is not yours;
- You will tell us promptly if your authority to act for that business ends.
Approving a claim is an operational decision about who manages a page. It is not a determination of who owns a business, a trade name, or a trademark, and it creates no rights in any of those. We may reverse an approved claim, freeze changes to a listing, or transfer control to a different claimant if we later receive better evidence, if a dispute arises, or if any representation above turns out to be untrue.
If two or more people claim the same business, we may freeze changes to the listing while we review both. Where we hold a contact detail for a business, we may tell the business that a claim has been made and give it an opportunity to object before the claim takes effect.
8.5 Your responsibility for claims and listing content
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bizity, NetSys Interactive Inc, and their officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, fine, cost, or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to:
- A claim you submitted for a business you were not authorized to represent, or any false or misleading statement made in support of a claim;
- Content you added to a claimed listing, including any allegation that it infringes a copyright, a trademark, a right of publicity, or any other right;
- Your use of contact information obtained from the directory, including any use in breach of anti-spam, telemarketing, fax, text messaging, or do-not-call law;
- Your breach of these Terms, or of any applicable law, in connection with the directory.
We may take over the defense of any matter covered by this section, at your expense, and you agree to cooperate with us if we do. You will not settle any such matter in a way that imposes an obligation on Bizity without our written consent. This section continues to apply after your account is closed or your claim is reversed.
8.6 Copyright complaints
If you believe that content on Bizity, including content on a business directory listing, infringes a copyright that you own or are authorized to represent, tell us. We respond to complete notices that follow the requirements of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. 512.
What a notice needs to include:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed;
- Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it, such as the address of the listing or page;
- Your mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Where to send it. Send your notice to our designated agent, who is registered with the United States Copyright Office:
Dennis Altshuler, Designated Agent
NetSys Interactive Inc.
2310 E San Manuel Rd, San Tan Valley,
AZ 85143
Email: dmca@netsysinteractive.com
Telephone: 480-539-9640
The same details, and our copyright notice form when it is accepting submissions, are at https://bizity.com/dmca. We remove or disable access to material that is the subject of a complete and valid notice.
If your content was removed and you think that was a mistake. You may send us a counter-notification. It needs your physical or electronic signature, identification of the material and where it appeared before it was removed, a statement made under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification, your name, mailing address, and telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live, or, if you are outside the United States, any judicial district in which Bizity may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice. Where the law allows, we may restore the material after a waiting period unless the person who sent the original notice tells us they have filed a court action.
Repeat infringers. We terminate, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of members who repeatedly infringe the copyrights of others.
False claims carry a penalty. Under 17 U.S.C. 512(f), a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that material was removed or disabled by mistake, may be liable for damages, including costs and legal fees. Do not send a takedown notice to remove something you simply disagree with, and do not send one to interfere with a competitor.
9. Legal
These Terms of Service are non-transferable and may be supplemented with additional Terms when utilizing a product or service that has additional Terms. Any additional Terms will be spelled out in writing by us and required to be accepted at the time the member chooses to utilize a product, service, etc, that requires additional Terms.
These Terms of Service do not confer any third-party beneficiary rights. All of Bizity's rights and obligations under these Terms of Service are freely assignable by us in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or by operation of law or otherwise.
If any portion of these Terms of Service are found to be unenforceable, the remaining portion will remain in full force and effect. If we fail to enforce any of these Terms of Service, it will not be considered a waiver. Any amendment to or waiver of these Terms of Service must be made in writing and signed by an authorized party within Bizity.
